As we look toward the coming years, we hope to host our inaugural Common Cup Scholarship Gala. This ticketed event will serve a dual purpose as our annual fundraiser and a beautiful celebration of our scholars. 

Scaling Our Financial Support

We are thrilled to announce that The Common Cup is now an officially recognized 501(c)(3) organization. This major milestone unlocks a new tier of funding opportunities. We are actively leveraging this status to apply for larger institutional and foundation grants, allowing us to exponentially increase the capital we pour back into our community.

Targeted and Timely Scholarships

We know the college application process can be exhausting. As the school year draws to a close and senior fatigue sets in, a student's energy to apply for scholarships often decreases. To provide essential encouragement when it is needed most, our goal is to eventually implement a dual cycle for our scholarships, offering awards in both the fall and the early summer. Additionally, we plan to increase our overall award amounts and introduce new funding tailored to specific groups. This will include dedicated scholarships for students pursuing specific academic majors and schools.

Expanding Accessibility and Reach

We have already made significant progress in getting our application directly into the hands of local students through our successful partnership with SchooLinks. As we look to the future, we plan to launch official social media accounts to further amplify our accessibility. By building a dynamic digital presence and continuing our collaboration with the SchooLinks platform, we aim to ensure our resources are visible to an even larger pool of applicants throughout Chicago.
