Dennis Ajewole is an incoming freshman at Loyola University Chicago, majoring in Biochemistry on the pre-medical track. Raised in Ilesha, Nigeria, his dedication to healthcare is grounded in lived experiences navigating resource disparities and family health crises. Driven to make a systemic impact, Dennis plans to specialize in radiology to leverage early diagnostic technology to save lives in underserved communities. Beyond his clinical ambitions, he is committed to building resource networks and mentoring the next generation of STEM students from underrepresented backgrounds, embodying the tradition of lifting others as he climbs.

Dede Gbikpi-Benissan is an incoming freshman at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign majoring in Psychology. As a first-generation college student and the daughter of immigrants, her passion for educational equity and community service stems from her work as a tutor building student confidence. Driven to address underlying social factors, Dede plans to pursue a career combining research and advocacy to expand mental health access in marginalized communities. She remains committed to mentoring younger students, promoting health awareness, and using her education to drive lasting social change.
